Ridgelift

Know when to fly.

Ridgelift is a flying aid for paraglider pilots: flyability forecasts for the sites around you, a flight computer that works with no signal, and a logbook that writes itself.

Flyability map

Every site near you, colored green, amber or red for the day you pick — wind and weather checked against each launch's directions, five days out.

Flight computer

Vario, altimeter, ground speed and glide on your iPhone — big type, high contrast, and fully offline. Airplane mode is a supported feature.

Automatic logbook

Recording starts at launch and stops at landing. Tracks, thermals, altitude gain and IGC files, synced between phone and web.

Airspace that warns you

Current airspace charts with warnings before you drift into a TMA — downloadable packs keep them working with no signal.

Plans & navigation

Draw a route on the web, fly it from your phone. Waypoints, headings and distance-to-go, with GPX import and export.

Live tracking

Share a private link so retrieve drivers and family can follow your flight as it happens.

A whole flight, one service

  1. Before — check the map: which sites are green tomorrow, what the wind does at launch height, where the airspace is.
  2. During — fly with the iPhone flight computer: vario, altitude, speed, airspace warnings. Everything works offline.
  3. After — the flight is already in your logbook: track, stats, thermals, IGC file, synced to the web.
